2019.04.10 – TARKIN #1, LEIA #1, and RONIN ISLAND #2 in stores today!

I’m thrilled to have three big books in comic shops today!

If you’re a Star Wars fan, please don’t miss STAR WARS AGE OF REBELLION: GRAND MOFF TARKIN #1 and STAR WARS AGE OF REBELLION: LEIA #1. Both are one shots that tell in-continuity stories about those lead characters, shedding new light on classic turning points in the movies.

LEIA #1 was beautifully drawn by Chris Sprouse, Karl Story, Will Sliney, and Marc Deering, with vibrant colors by Tamra Bonvillain and letters by Travis Lanham, and cover by Terry and Rachel Dodson. Here’s an excerpt from the 5/5 ComicBook.com review:

…this book offers a thrilling adventure that feels fully in line with the Leia we’ve come to know and love, all while filling in a missing chapter in the character’s journey to rescue Han.

TARKIN was drawn by Marc Laming with colors by Jordan Boyd and Neeraj Menon with letters by Travis Lanham and a cover by Terry and Rachel Dodson. Here’s an excerpt from the 5/5 ComicBook.com review:

This book is a must-read for fans of Tarkin or the original movie in general, delivering an all-new perspective of a beloved character who you’ll never look at the same again.

Ronin Island #2 cover

And don’t miss RONIN ISLAND #2, with art by Giannis Milonogiannis, colors by Irma Kniivila, and letters by Simon Bowland. RONIN ISLAND was recently upgraded from a five issue miniseries to a full twelve issues due to the incredible support of readers and retailers — come see what the fuss is all about! Here’s a blurb from the five star Comics Bulletin review:

Ronin Island #2 is the rare, perfect situation where a great writer finds the right art team to breathe life into his script. It was clear that Pak, Milogiannis, and Kniivila had a vision after the first issue, but upon finishing up this installment it’s evident that they’re creating something truly special. Now extended to a 12-issue maxiseries, Ronin Island is a true, all-ages adventure with elements of action, horror, and heart that should not be missed.

Ask your local retailer to hold copies of these books for you today!

2019.03.20 – JAMES BOND 007 #5 in stores today – with SHOCKING SURPRISE!

I’m thrilled to report that JAMES BOND 007 #5 hit stores today! Written by Greg Pak (hey, that’s me!) with art by Stephen Mooney, colors by Triona Farrell, letters by Ariana Maher, and a cover by Dave Johnson! The Oddjob saga continues with Bond in jail and John Lee, our sexy Korean super agent, on a solo mission fraught with danger and romance!

The book’s already nabbed a stunning 10/10 review from AiTP.com — here’s an excerpt!

As a massive Bond fan, as well as someone who loved Warren Ellis’ Dynamite series and many of the one-shots and miniseries that followed, I think this book and its sister series (James Bond: Origin) may be the very best post-Fleming Bond media to come along in quite a few years. Somehow, this book keeps subverting expectations and getting better with each issue.

The book also features a HUGE reveal that we’ve managed to keep secret for MONTHS. If you’re a Bond fan, you absolutely, positively don’t wanna miss this issue. Ask your local retailer to hold a copy for you today!

2019.03.06 – RONIN ISLAND #1 in stores today!

Thrilled about RONIN ISLAND #1 finally hitting comic book shops today, and huge thanks to everyone who’s picking it up and spreading the word! The book’s drawn by Giannis Milonogiannis with colors by Irma Kniivila, letters by Simon Bowland, and editing by Cameron Chittock and Amanda LaFranco and tells the story of a pair of young warriors thrust into crisis when their 19th century pan-Asian island community is confronted by an invading army — and a terrifying, mutated threat.

The reviews are blowing my mind — check ’em out!

“Pak brilliantly balances these elements in a concise and entertaining comic. Indeed, fans of stories like Momotaro (Peach Boy) will gravitate to RONIN ISLAND for its lush storytelling and illustration. However, the comic offers excitement for all.” — Comicsverse

Ronin Island #1 is a devastating strong opener of an issue. No panel is wasted, no narrative beat feels unused. It’s a quick, rapid-fire page turner that slowly invites the reader into the world and shines a little more light each time your eyes devour the stellar storytelling and beautiful art.” — Black Nerd Problems

Ronin Island starts as well as anything I’ve ever read.” — The Brazen Bull

Please do ask your local retailer to hold a copy for you today!

2019.22.27 – FIREFLY #4 and JOHN WICK #5 in stores today!

I’ve got two comic books in stores today — FIREFLY #4, with art by Dan McDaid, cover by Lee Garbett, colors by Marcelo Costa, and letters by Jim Campbell; and JOHN WICK #5, with art by Matt Gaudio, colors by Inlight Studios, letters by Tom Napolitano, and cover by Giovanni Valletta. Ask your local shop to hold a copy for you!

2019.02.20 – JAMES BOND 007 #4 in stores today – THE KARAOKE ISSUE

Friends, JAMES BOND 007 #4 is in stores today, and YOU WANT THIS BOOK! New arc featuring line art by Stephen Mooney, colors by Triona Farrell, and letters by Ariana Maher. Wary team up between Bond and the new Oddjob, John Lee. Big intrigue and action. Huge heart. And yes, my friends, karaoke. KARAOKE.

Ask your local comic shop to hold a copy for you today! And check out the Dave Johnson cover and preview pages below!

2019.02.20 – HULKVERINES #1 – check out the preview!

HULKVERINES #1 hits comic shops on February 20, and Multiversity.com has a lettered, colored preview!

Check it out!

Words by Greg Pak (hey, that’s me!), line art by Ario Anindito, colors by Morry Hollowell, letters by Joe Caramanga, and cover by Greg Land. And here’s the official solicit:

At last! It’s Weapon H versus his predecessors—Wolverine and the Hulk! Once, the Weapon X program sought to recreate the world’s two greatest hunters. They ended up with Weapon H, a man of Adamantium claws and gamma-juiced blood. Now, Wolverine and the Hulk are back in action — and coming after the dangerous creation made in their name!

I’m also doing a signing of HULKVERINES #1 at Midtown Comics Downtown in NYC on February 22 — see you there!

Excited about this book — it’s got ludicrously bombastic superhero action, like all the WEAPON H stories, combined with a big emotional centering on our hero Clayton Cortez and his wife Sonia Sung. And it features the Leader, one of my favorite Marvel villains of all time, all gorgeously drawn by Ario, colored by Morry, and lettered by Joe!
