Eisa Davis

EISA DAVIS (Helen, "Clay"). A native of Berkeley, California, Eisa has appeared in several independent shorts and features, including "Mourning Glory" and the upcoming "Brass Tacks." She has been featured on "Law & Order," "Cosby,, and "The Wire," with a recurring role on "Guiding Light." Highlights of her theatre work include a title role in Adrienne Kennedy's Obie-award winning "June and Jean in Concert," and the role of Veronica in Athol Fugard's "Valley Song." Eisa's play "Umkovu" was featured in Danny Hoch's Hip Hop Festival at PS122, and her play "Paper Armor" was presented at Yale in February 2002. Eisa is a resident playwright at New Dramatists and a member of the Actors Studio. She performs her original music on the Showtime series "Soul Food."
