Pleased to report that LAWFUL #6 is in comic shops now! Written by Greg Pak (hey, that’s me!) with line art by Diego Galindo, colors by Irma Kniivila, letters by Simon Bowland, and a main cover by Qistina Khadilah.

The Super Powered Fancast gives the book 9.2 out of 10 and says “Pak continues to create great drama and tension throughout this series and this issue is no exception.”

I’ve seen multiple folks who suffer from anxiety talking about how hard LAWFUL #1 hit them — in a good way. Always incredible when a book means something to a specific audience like that. If you’re an anxious person (like me!), maybe LAWFUL will resonate.

Friends, I’m absolutely thrilled to share an exclusive preview of the first five pages of LAWFUL #1, the first issue of a brand new comic book series written by Greg Pak (hey, that’s me!), drawn by Diego Galindo, colored by Irma Kniivila, and lettered by Simon Bowland.

LAWFUL #1 hits stores on June 12 — but May 20 is the final order cutoff date for comic shops to order the book from the publisher, BOOM! Studios. So please ask your local comic book shop to preorder the book for you TODAY!

LAWFUL tells the story of two young heroes coming of age in a world in which any time you break the rules, you turn a little more into a monster. “Imagine a chunk of a big city ripped from Earth in the 1980s, set down on a fantastical planet, and cursed with one simple spell: every time you break a rule, you turn a bit more into a monster. Now jump forward 75 years and let’s see what happens.”

LAWFUL is one of the most personal and fantastical stories I’ve ever written. There’s a lot in there about my specific Asian American experience growing up in the 1980s and that only semi-conscious, desperate feeling that following the rules to the letter will provide safety. And there are monsters.
