UPDATE: A Bluesky user says she got a test from BonaFide that expired in less than 30 days. I’ve got a call in to BonaFide to ask about expiration dates – will update if I hear back. Just so you know!

This is not a paid endorsement – I just like BonaFideMasks. I’ve bought KN-95s from them throughout the pandemic and just ordered these new COVID tests from them, and with the discount, it’s costing me less than half what I’d pay at my local drug store.

Of course, we shouldn’t have to BUY these tests at all. If tests were free and more people used them whenever they feel sick, fewer people would be spreading COVID everywhere. A lot of those “summer colds” are… not colds. And of course we also need to restructure society so folks have the time and resources to stay home and get better, etc etc etc.

But we do what we can, and right now I suggest getting hold of some tests and using them when you’ve been exposed to COVID or don’t feel well.

At the end of September we’ll be able to get four free tests from the government via COVIDtests.gov. And that’s good! But that’s not enough for most folks, so I’m happy to see BonaFideMasks selling cheap tests now.

I’ve seen multiple folks who suffer from anxiety talking about how hard LAWFUL #1 hit them — in a good way. Always incredible when a book means something to a specific audience like that. If you’re an anxious person (like me!), maybe LAWFUL will resonate.

Hey, friends! I don’t usually make a lot of noise about awards, but I’m enormously proud of WHO BELONGS?, a comic book published by the New York City Department of Education that tells the history of Asians and Asian Americans who played a role in key legal cases ensuring citizenship and civil rights — and I’d be honored if you’d consider nominating it for the Ringo Awards.

Friends, I’m absolutely thrilled to share an exclusive preview of the first five pages of LAWFUL #1, the first issue of a brand new comic book series written by Greg Pak (hey, that’s me!), drawn by Diego Galindo, colored by Irma Kniivila, and lettered by Simon Bowland.

LAWFUL #1 hits stores on June 12 — but May 20 is the final order cutoff date for comic shops to order the book from the publisher, BOOM! Studios. So please ask your local comic book shop to preorder the book for you TODAY!

LAWFUL tells the story of two young heroes coming of age in a world in which any time you break the rules, you turn a little more into a monster.
