The Forward writes about “Magneto: Testament”
The Forward has posted an article written by Mordechai Shinefeld about “Magneto: Testament,” a five issue Marvel Comics miniseries written by Greg Pak that debuts in September. An excerpt:
“This isn’t a fantasy about a costumed superhero changing the course of history,†Pak told The Shmooze. “This is the story of a Jewish boy and his family struggling to survive.â€
“Part of the goal of this story is to explore religious identity, and history, through fiction,†said Warren Simmons, “Testament†editor. “I’d say [Magneto] is one of the single richest and most intriguing characters in our medium. I think to Jewish kids, he’s a very important, complex character. I know that he was to me.â€

— AintItCool.com

“Though I’ve always had a huge man crush on Hercules, the stories that Van Lente and Pak are producing are actually making me love him more. They’re smartly constructed, laugh inducing, and are always packed to the gills with action.”
