Pre-order DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: THE FALLBACKS #1 and RETURN TO PLANET HULK #1 with your local shop TODAY, friends!

Hey, friends! Big news – today’s the last day for comic book shops to pre-order RETURN TO PLANET HULK #1 and DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: THE FALLBACKS #1, two big books I’ve written that are coming out in October. So if you’re interested, please do contact your local comics shop and ask them to pre-order these books for you! They’re both AWESOME!

DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: THE FALLBACKS #1 is the first issue of a brand new Dark Horse Comics series written by yours truly with art by Wilton Santos, Edvan Alvens, and Raul Angulo and letters by Nate Piekos. And just check out this glorious cover by Marguerite Sauvage!

Marguerite Savauge's cover for Dungeons & Dragons: The Fallbacks #1 featuring the party looking dramatic and fun, wielding weapons and gear.

Here’s the official solicit:

In a time of fickle gods and feckless governors, the world yearns for heroes! What it gets are the Fallbacks—a party of daring, dubious, and dysfunctional adventurers who arrive in the city of Loudwater in search of gold and glory. But an encounter with kobold thieves puts the Fallbacks in the crosshairs of a rival team of deeply annoying local heroes. Will the Fallbacks pull off a heist for the ages? Or will they sacrifice it all to put these “heroes” in their place?

Comics writer and Eisner nominee Joey Esposito got a sneak peak and just posted, “it made me desperate to get back into our D&D campaign. Not just fun for D&D fans, fun for fans of good adventure stories period. Tell your retailers!!!”

Dontcha dare miss it!

RETURN TO PLANET HULK #1 is a one-shot that celebrates the 20th anniversary of the original PLANET HULK storyline. (And no, I can’t believe it’s been that long, either!)

Thrillingly, we got original PLANET HULK artist Carlo Pagulayan and colorist Chris Sotomayor back on board for this story, and we tell an untold, evocative tale that slots in right after issue #95, the fourth chapter in the original saga.

RETURN TO PLANET HULK #1 cover by Carlo Pagulayan featuring the Hulk in gladiator gear raging over a pile of smashed Wildebots.

And here’s a sneak preview of a little introductory text from within the book, never before seen!

The “heroes” of Earth thought the Hulk was a monster. So they sent him to Planet Sakaar, where he was enslaved, forced to fight as a gladiator, and then smashed his way to freedom

But now the people of Sakaar may think he’s something even worse than a monster:

hero.

Again, please do feel free to contact your local comic shop and ask them to pre-order these books! Thanks so much for your support, as always!

Check out my new headshot

distorted digital photography from a fried camera of Greg Pak. selfie. the image is low-res and smeary distorted and pink. it is fantastic.

A friend wondered if I had a spare old digital camera. I dug up my mom’s 2004 Canon Digital IXUS 500 5.0 megapixel camera — and discovered it’s glitching in an absolutely glorious way.

I gave my friend another working camera and kept this miraculous garbage machine.

I love it.

Greg Pak and Eder Messias to launch a new SUPERNATURAL comic book in October!

Cover for Supernatural #1 showing Sam and Dean from the television show and their black vintage car in a creepy field at night. Dean's sitting on the hood, holding a sword. Sam's standing behind him holding a crossbow.

Big news! I’m writing a new SUPERNATURAL comic book series, drawn by the great Eder Messias, edited by Nate Cosby, and published by Dynamite Comics!

We’re telling thrilling untold stories that fit between episodes around the first and second seasons of the show and it’s gonna be awesome.

Here’s my quote from the press release:

“A couple of dudes in a cool car chasing monsters, demons, and ghosts? Tongue-in-cheek but deeply-felt emotional story of sibling rivalry and family tragedy? Hugely fun, anti-authoritarian heroes and vibes? Look, I was hooked with the ghosts, but I’m all in. Fans of Supernatural know the show is a blast and it’s an enormous pleasure and privilege to be able to dig into this wild world, especially with Eder Messias. We’re going for fun and grounded, and then we’re going to absolutely cut loose when the time comes. I can’t wait to show more, and thanks so much to everyone for coming along for the ride!”

Please do ask your local comic shop to pre-order a copy for you today — first issue comes out in October!

“I can still stand with them.”

Splash page from ACTION COMICS #42 written by Greg Pak with line art by Aaron Kuder, colors by Tomeu Morey, and letters by Steve Wands. Superman in a t-shirt and jeans stands before seated protesters, holding a great chain to protect them. We're looking at them over the shoulders of a trio of riot police. The caption of Superman's voice reads "...but I can still stand with them."

I love Superman and am hugely grateful to have worked on ACTION COMICS for two years with co-writer and artist Aaron Kuder and a bunch of other amazing collaborators.

Above is one of the moments I love the most from our run as seen in ACTION COMICS #42.

Looking forward to the movie. 💙

RETURN TO PLANET HULK 20th Anniversary One-shot coming this October!

Cover by Carlo Pagulayan of the Return to Planet Hulk 20th Anniversary special - shows the Hulk in gladiator gear tearing into robots

I’m thrilled to report that I’m writing RETURN TO PLANET HULK #1, a 25 page one-shot story commemorating the 20th anniversary of the classic PLANET HULK storyline — and original PLANET HULK artist Carlo Pagulayan is drawing!

Here’s the synopsis:

GAMMA-IRRADIATED GLADITORIAL ACTION ON PLANET HULK!

Green blood will flow and sparks will fly! After escaping the Red King’s deadly arena, Hulk faces ferocious monsters and smashes his way through malicious machines and wild robotic terrors in one of his most important battles of survival on the war-torn planet of Sakaar! Two possible destinies are at stake! The SAKAARSON, savior of the planet, or the WORLDBREAKER, the legendary destroyer! Will his rage only fuel the chaos of this alien world?

Ask your local comic shop to pre-order the book for you today!

Here’s my blurb on the book from the press release. Hugely excited to be diving back into this world after all these years!

Working on Planet Hulk remains one of the greatest joys of my comics career, and I’m enormously grateful for the love so many readers have shared for the storyline over the years. This 20th anniversary special is a celebration and a huge thank you to everyone — and a chance to take one more journey into the dark heart of the Green Scar and add to the wild mythos of Sakaar. It’s also a huge pleasure to be working with Carlo Pagulayan and Mark Paniccia again — it’s like we never left off, and it feels like home.

Twitter is a Nazi site. Get the hell off of it right now.

Today, Twitter’s “A.i.” text generator “Grok” went full Nazi with a slew of inexcusable, reprehensible antisemitic posts.

I’m not going to quote them here. But you can see some of this trash for yourself in this NBC News article and this Rolling Stone post.

I’m begging you to delete your Twitter account right the hell now and deny Elon Musk any of your attention and money. It’s hate site that’s making the world worse every second, and it’s poisoning your brain if you visit there with any regularity.

Just get the hell off of Twitter, please.

For what it’s worth, I’m on Bluesky and I like it.
