Loved writing this book and loved this moment in particular. It’s been a tremendous experience and privilege to write this next huge chapter in Amadeus Cho’s life and bring it to this huge finish. Thanks so much to everyone for supporting for the last two and a half years!

Here’s the afterword from the book. A thousand thank yous. You’re all awesome.

KICKSTARTER SECRETS audiobook now available!

I recently wrote a how-to book called KICKSTARTER SECRETS that shared all of my best tips for running crowdfunding campaigns based on my experiences with the Kickstarters for CODE MONKEY SAVE WORLD, THE PRINCESS WHO SAVED HERSELF, and ABC DISGUSTING.

Today I’m thrilled to announce the release of an audiobook of KICKSTARTER SECRETS, which you can buy right now at GregPakShop.com! If you’ve ever thought about crowdfunding, this is the book for you.

Hope you enjoy, and thanks as always!

About my middle school Dungeons and Dragons notebooks…

A few months ago, Michi Trota asked me if I’d be interested in writing an essay for Uncanny Magazine. I said sure and cheerfully suggested a light-hearted piece about my old Dungeons and Dragons notebooks from middle school, which I’d recently rediscovered (along with the incredibly flattering photo of 13-year-old-me above).

But when I sat down to write, I started sweating. Because digging through those old notebooks was as harrowing as it was hilarious and the essay turned into the most personal thing I’ve ever published as an adult. It’s all about adolescence and writing and worldbuilding and the Boy Scouts and biracial Asian American identity.

And centaurs. Lots of centaurs.

2018.04.28 – Greg Pak at WICOMICON in Baltimore this Saturday!

Last week, I was shocked to learn that the Universal Fan Con, which I was scheduled to attend this weekend, had been postponed. But I’m thrilled to report that some awesome folks have scrambled in a matter of days to put together a one-day pop-up event called WICOMICON in Baltimore on Saturday that I’ll be attending as a guest!

The event runs from 10 am to 7 pm in the Wicomico building and will feature a number of comics creators and comics and pop culture guests who had originally planned to attend the UFC. Tickets are just $10 — and only $5 for Fan Con ticket holders. Please visit wicomicon.com for all the details!

Huge thanks to Keith Chow, the Nerds of Color, Black Heroes Matter, New Release Wednesday, theblerdgurl, André Robinson of Carbon-Fibre Media and Elijah Kelley of the Be A Boss App for pulling this pop-up together on such short notice.

Looking forward to seeing you there!

Last day to preorder the WHERE WE LIVE Las Vegas benefit anthology!

Today is the last day to preorder the WHERE WE LIVE comics anthology, which benefits the victims of the Las Vegas shooting. I’m proud and honored to have been invited to contribute a story, which Triona Farrell colored and Simon Bowland lettered. See below for a sneak preview image from that story.

You can preorder the book by calling your local comic book shop or, if you like mail order, buy it online from Thing From Another World.

Thanks for the consideration and all the best!
