UPDATED: “World War Hulks” interview with Pak and Loeb at IGN

IGN has posted an interview with “Incredible Hulk” writer Greg Pak and “Hulk” writer Jeph Loeb about the upcoming “World War Hulks” storyline. Here’s an excerpt:

IGN Comics: Time for some fun – we’d like to know your personal favorites in this massive battle. Who is your favorite to write? Who is the strongest? Who do you think will surprise the fans?
Loeb: I’ve been very lucky to see the terrific response to Red, so he’s the first one to come to mind. In Hulk #13, A-Bomb gets a major shift character-wise and I suspect will have everyone talking. Then, there’s the new Red She-Hulk who brings a different voice to She-Hulk — and I loved writing Jen. But, secretly, I’m looking forward to writing Skaar. Greg’s had him pretty exclusively – why should he have all the fun!
Pak: Favorite to write: I’m absolutely loving writing Banner and Skaar. But I have to say I’m pretty itchy to get my hand on some of Jeph’s toys. Red She-Hulk in particular. She’s an awesome character and we have some insane hijinks planned for her.
Who’s the strongest: The Hulk is always and forever the strongest one there is. Of course, we have a few Hulks running around at the moment… Should be interesting to see who walks away with the title, huh?
Who’ll surprise the fans: The Hulk. The big green one, that is. This is an iconic character who’s sustained a comic series for six hundred issues over four decades first, because the fundamental theme of the price of anger is eternally rich and universal, and second, because the Hulk consistently shocks and surprises in ways that actually deepen his stories and themes. Just what am I talking about here? Let’s just say you ain’t gonna see this one coming, but I think you’re gonna like it.
