Greg Pak will sit on a panel at the Kyopo Project book release event in New York on October 12. The details:

Celebrate the national book launch of Kyopo, a photographic and textual project on identity and immigration through the lens of the Korean Diaspora.
The Kyopo Project features a series of over 200 standardized full-body portraits of Kyopo (A Korean term for people of Korean descent who reside permanently outside of the Korean Peninsula) from around the word, which are currently on exhibit at The Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery. NY1 News anchor Vivian Lee will moderate a discussion about the Kyopo Project featuring the project’s creator, CYJO, as well as comedian Esther Paik Goodhart, politician and civil activist Kevin Kim, comic book writer Greg Pak and art historian Alexandra Chang. A book signing will be held after the talk.

“Astonishing X-Men” and “Dead Man’s Run” writer Greg Pak will attend the New York Comicon from Friday to Sunday, October 14-16. When he’s not at panels or signings, he’ll be at table N3 in Artists Alley, where he’ll give out free copies of “Vision Machine.” The rest of his schedule:

1:30 – 2:30 pm – The Comics HIstory of the World Panel, 1A02. Pak will discuss his historically-based Marvel books, “Magneto Testament” and “Red Skull Incarnate.”

Saturday, October 15
10:45- 11:45 am – Aspen Comics Panel. Pak will discuss his new Aspen book, “Dead Man’s Run.” The #0 issue will be on sale at the Aspen booth — check out the Tony Parker cover on the right!

“Red Skull: Incarnate” reviews

“Red Skull: Incarnate” is a five issue comic book miniseries drawn by the amazing Mirko Colak with chilling covers by the great David Aja that tells the story of Johann Schmidt, an orphan in Weimar Germany who eventually becomes the Nazi monster known as the Red Skull.
If you’re interested in historically accurate fiction dealing with this time period, crime thrillers, and/or explorations of the darkest corners of the Marvel Universe, please feel free to check it out. The first three issues are already out and the fourth comes out on October 26. Please read on for some reviews — and if you’re intrigued, ask your local store to hold you a copy!
